A few weeks ago, Eric went out to one of his favorite overlooks for some milky way time lapsing only for it to be spoiled by the fog that rolled in. Shooting the Milky Way in the Ozarks can be tough. The valley rivers and streams drop in temperature faster than on the bluffs which in turn causes the temp to sit around the dew point and that causes fog build up. Some of the best scenes can be captured if the fog bank stays below you, but that is a rare occasion for us with the access being so difficult in the Ozarks for beautiful panoramic night views that don’t have a bunch of light pollution.
