Have you ever wondered how these incredible images are made of the milky way with foregrounds you can see clearly? Images like this are made using sky trackers and/or multiple exposures, at least 1 for the sky, and 1 for the foreground. Then utilizing advanced techniques like layer blending and masking you put your exposures together to make the final image. This particular composite was made from a tracked sky, with an HDR shot foreground at sunset to accentuate the details.
